Letter From Shoghi Effendi, First Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith to Charles Mason Remey, Second Bahá'í Guardian, November 11, 1936
Dearly beloved co-worker:
I rejoice to learn of your constant efforts and accomplishments in the teaching field. How pleased is the Beloved Master with you His beloved "son"! Your fidelity and devotion, your constancy and courage deserve the highest praise. With a grateful heart I will pray for you and for the development and extension of your teaching activities.
Your true brother,
Shoghi
Dar Mr. Remey,
The Guardian has been pleased to receive your very kind letter of the first October, and has directed me to convey to you his deepest thanks for it, and specially for your most valuable gift of the brass plaque inscribed with the Greatest Name which you have, at his suggestion, offered to be hung at the Shrine of the Báb on Mt. Carmel. This constitutes one more one more valuable gift you have presented to the Holy Tombs, and he feels certain it will considerably embellish that sacred spot.
It was a pleasure to the Guardian to learn that you have so warmly entertained Mrs. Hoagg in your home. He is delighted in her many accomplishments in the teaching field. The share she is contributing to the success of the teaching campaign organized by the N.S.A. is truly praiseworthy. May the beloved give her continued strength to carry on her labors.
With the renewed assurance of the Guardian's prayers for you, and with his cordial greetings,
Sincerely in His Service,
H. Rabbani
