Bahá'u'lláh's Two-Fold Covenant From World Order Magazinie, July, 1944

"Baha'u'llah's Covenant is unique in human history, because it is two-fold: He tells of a Promised One who will not appear before a full thousand years; but He also appoints in writing the Interpreter of His Faith, the Center of His Covenant, His Son 'Abdu'l-Bahá. Today we know that what they did not know in 1912 - that 'Abdu'l-Bahá in His turn appointed a Center, around which the Bahá'í Faith revolves, His grandson, Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Cause." World Order magazine. July, 1944, p. 119.
